Spicy Chicken Patties

Quick, simple and tasty. The best way to enjoy your favourite chicken patties!

You will need:

  • 500g minced chicken
  • 4 spring onions
  • 1/3 cup coriander leaves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 egg
  • salt & pepper to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon of oil for cooking
  • 1 lemon

 

What to do:

Option 1 for the patient saints of cooking – Finely chop your spring onions and coriander leaves. Crush your 2 cloves of garlic and lightly beat your egg. Mix all ingredients together except oil & lemon. Shape mixture into patties and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Option 2 for those of us who are always in a blinding hurry and want short cuts to everything – Place spring onions, coriander and garlic in blender and pulse until it’s all nice & little. Add chicken mince and continue to pulse until it is all combined.  Shape into patties and refrigerate (or not).

And then for everyone – Whichever option you choose, you will still need to cook them.  Heat your oil in a large frying pan over medium heat, add patties and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.

Cut that lemon in half and squeeze juice over the patties as you’re ready to serve them.
